CapacityWare is a unique copyrighted software package used by Organization Diagnostics, Inc., to determine the state of an organizations' culture and appropriate courses of action to remediate the cultural condition to something more desirable as determined by the client organization. The CapacityWare package contains the following unique attributes:
Systemic Perspective. CapacityWare is an organization developer's
tool that uses our own computer software to keep track of survey and inventory results.
It uses a unique systems approach to measurement. Although it can measure a variety
of other themes through the selection of numerous item pools, its prime focus is
on organization culture.
Multi-Dimensional Perspective. RGB & UHS. We collect information on
the subtle individual natural attributes that often generate subliminal cultural
patterns. We compare this information with symptomatic data collected about ten unique
dimensions from across the organization spectrum. Comparisons are made at the individual,
team, work group, and entire organization level in order to pinpoint specific root-problems
that can be dealt with independent of more systemic issues. The result is an accelerated
course correction effort that saves time and money.
Intuitive Cultural Graphics. When we array cultural data, we do it with
our own system that makes fast intuitive sense to our clients. We save them time
and effort in understanding complex data at both a detailed and systemic level. Corrective
actions nearly jump off the screen as parts of complex solution sets emerge.
Intuitive Graphics of Complex Data. CapacityWare uses its
own brand of graphic representation that allows immediate orientation to very complex
data. People find the data trends detectable within seconds, and intuitively know
the fundamental elements of appropriate courses of action. The model set supporting
the system allows for the isolation of data trends across the whole organization
or identifiable parts of the organization.
Automatic Trend Identification with Suggested Remediation Strategies. The
CapacityWare package incorporates organizational level surveys with
individual level inventories in such a way that one can readily detect data trends
at both levels. Fundamental remediative strategies are quickly linked to cultural
realignment technology, based on the trends detected. As an organization developer's
tool, CapacityWare accelerates the time it takes to improve culture
to a fraction of what might otherwise be the case.
Automatic Prioritization of Corrective Courses of Action. Our system automatically
prioritizes corrective courses of action based on either or both of two criteria:
weighted or unweighted. This allows the client complete flexibility to choose those
corrective courses of action that afford the highest return on organization development
Remediation Literature and Coaching Support. The diagnostic regimen options
of CapacityWare are directly linked to each of the five Phases of the
remediation process with specific literature for each key player in the change effort.
From organization Sponsor at the top, to Front Line Cultural Change Agent Facilitators
deep in the organization structure, everyone has a game plan to follow and a role
to play. CapacityWare then measures the degree to which people are
following the plan and filling the requirements of their role. This makes coaching
people in specific roles far more effective. For senior people this confidential
option is essential.
Directed Remediation Strategy. CapacityWare provides an immediate
and dependable remediation strategy for any discernable slice of the organization
that results in accelerated cultural improvement. Users are able to isolate specific
parts of the organization and let CommunityWare recommend a specific
remediation strategy for that group. This approach allows people to work toward correcting
their specific cultural problems rather than having to pursue a generalized plan
that has little specific application to their situation.
Continuous Education. Regular quarterly training sessions are conducted
for organizations using the CapacityWare diagnostics regimen and remediation
process. People from every strata in an organization are scheduled for events based
on their need. In some cases they are joined with people from other organizations
who are engaged in similar experiences. These joint sessions are conducted in the
Hampton Roads area of Virginia with easy access especially for federal government
clients. This continuous education element adds a full program dimension to CapacityWare
Innovative Data Collection Methods. We have made available both the RGB
Inventory and the Hampotn Roads 1998 Quality of WorkLife Survey on the Internet.
This innovation will allow clients and potential clients to complete these instruements
and receive feedback without benefit of the cumbersome mailing routines. In addition,
it may totally eliminate the requirement for Data Collection Teams to design and
construct surveys when an inexpensive QWL Survey opiton will suffice.
Literature Integration. The ODI Library contains over ten thousand extracts
from popular organization development works authored by many of the best minds in
the field. Many of these "extracts" have been "linked" directly
to CommuunityWare products to provide the consultant user with some of the best thoughts
possible on specific topics of concern. A specific piece of literature will be referenced
so that the consultant will have available the most advanced thinking possible as
remediative strategies are formulated for the client organization.
Sole Source Advantage. Many providers have unique products and services,
but uniqueness is not an exclusive test for sole source procurement. Our fully copyrighted
CapacityWare package of products and services is unique without question.
Our experience using a comprehensive system to measure and remediate culture to a
more productive and acceptable one, normally within 24 months, make us an ideal candidate
to be a sole source provider.
Automatic Return-on-Investment Calculations. CapacityWare
automatically calculates the Return-on-Investment of an intervention using the client
payroll as the baseline. The basic premise is that people will perform at lower performance
and productivity levels when their survey scores are lower, that is, when they belief
their Quality of WorkLife is lower than they would like it to be. As the Quality
of WorkLife Index increases in an organization the employer benefits from
increased performance and productivity.
Automatic Suggestions for Process Improvement Team Initiation. The CapacityWare
software automatically selectes those issues that seem most worthy of team formation.
The system will normally recommend at least five issues that require attention. In
addition, the system will recommend five issues that appear to be working well. The
client organization can choose to reward appropriate individuals for these well-done
tasks, or may choose to form a team to determine why these areas are working as well
as they are. In some organizations with geographically dispursed elements, these
items may be even benchmarked.
Event Participation Metrics. As people participate in events during the
remediation phases, their attendance is logged into CapacityWare. A
review of participation figures will key consulting teams as to the probability that
change efforts will take hold. If people sho score low on surveys do not participate
in some way in events, the probability is that change will be slow or potentially
non-existent. On the other hand, as low scorers do participate, the likelihood of
score improving is increased. By reviewing these figures, consulting teams can determine
early-on if change is on track of off track with expectations. Strategies can shift
early enough to achieve desired results.
Web-site Reference Materials. CapacityWare materials are
readily available on the Internet for client users and consulting teams. Although
materials are included with feedback packages, users can obtain up-to-date materials
when revisions improve materials at a later time. Continuously updated materials
are always available on the Internet at no additional charge.
Associate Comparison Data Options. Survey and Inventory respondents are
encouraged to select "others" they would like to share their results with.
This list of "associates" is maintained in the CommunityWare package and
produces output reports for those individuals on a regular basis. Since this list
of associates can incluide people well beyond a respondents work group, the sphere
of influence over culture magnifies many times using this approach.
Automatic Report Options for Respondents, Coordinators, Champions, and Administrators.
The CapacityWare package generates automatic and regular reports for
all levels of participants. Individuals receive reports that let them know how they
are doing, while appropriate reports also go to Realignment Coordinators, Champions,
and CapacityWare Administrators.
Rapid Response Data collection Efforts. Depending on system setup selections,
decision makers can adjust quickly to data collection efforts across large complex
organizations that take as little as a few hours for complete and reliable data.
